Class 7, FINAL PREPARATION: Choosing a JavaScript Programming Track
Above are screenshots from Khan Academy. At khanacademy.org, you can learn a lot about JavaScript programming through online videos. I felt that these videos were very informative, but lacked the hands-on, experimental approach that LearnStreet and Codeacademy offer.
The preceding four screenshots are from LearnStreet. LearnStreet offers users a hands-on experience to learn JavaScript programming. I personally preferred this over Khan Academy because I was able to learn through action as opposed to learning through watching Youtube videos.
These screenshots are from Code Academy. This website (codeacademy.com) is very similar, in its teaching approach, to LearnStreet. It offers users step-by-step directions and allows them to practice using JavaScript programming as opposed to watching videos about it. I liked Code Academy and LearnStreet about equally, and I preferred these over Khan Academy.

Class 7, Assignment 2
Above I selected the area around his hat and used the stroke tool to paint around it in orange.
In this picture I selected the brochure he was holding and pasted a Red Sox logo into it. I also made his hat orange.
Here I added a picture of Casper the Friendly Ghost and used the transparency function to make him appear more transparent.
In this picture I added some text and used the transparency tool to alter the text's appearance.
Above is Midterm 4 scaled down 50% both horizontally and vertically.
And finally, this is Midterm 4 scaled down just vertically.

Midterm 8
Above is a photo of myself, touched up in Gimp using the smudge tool to blend my smile lines and wrinkles around my eyes.
Below is the original picture, taken as a screenshot in Gimp while I was working on it.
The picture was edited using Gimp. With Gimp, I was able to blur my smile lines and eye wrinkles while keeping the photo real looking. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.
Midterm 7
This is my final product of exercise #2.
Below are screenshots of the work in progress.
The picture of Dave Chappelle above was edited with Gimp. I was able to copy and paste an oval-shaped image onto Dave Chappelle to make into his eyes. I was also able to add text to the bottom. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.
Midterm 4
This is the finished product of my greeting card.
Below are the screenshots of my greeting card in progress.
The greeting card above was created in Gimp using a screenshot of my avatar from Cloudparty.com. I added lime green text to it to make it stand out. Silver Dollar Exercise 3
Above is my Susan B. Anthony gold dollar.
Below is a screenshot of it while I was putting the finishing touches on it.
I edited my classic silver dollar in Gimp by changing Ike Eisenhower to Susan B. Anthony and changing the color from silver to gold. I also changed the year from 1972 to 1999 and scaled the size down a bit.
Silver Dollar Exercise 2
Above is the finished silver dollar from Gimp.
Below is a screenshot from when I started up Gimp.
This is a silver dollar that I created in Gimp. This gave me a bitmap graphic, as opposed to a vector graphic like I got with Microsoft Word.
Silver Dollar Exercise 1
Above is my finished silver dollar.
Below is a screenshot of my silver dollar in progress.
I designed the silver dollar using Microsoft Word and creating a silver circle. I then drew the picture of Ike Eisenhower using the scribble tool and also wrote "LIBERTY" with the scribble tool. I wrote the year with text. Lastly, I uploaded it to Microsoft Paint to format it into bitmap so that it could be posted to Blogger.
Class 5, Assignment 1

This is the finished product of my Vector Graphics House.
Below is a screenshot of the house being built on Microsoft Word.
The house above was built using Vector Graphics in Microsoft Word. With Vector Graphics, one can zoom in and out of a picture without compromising the graphic's quality. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.
