Texture Mapped Objects VS. Flat Shaded Objects

In this picture we have two tanks: tank 1 is a texture mapped object (3D object) and tank 2 is a flat shaded object (colored).  Tank 1 pops out more and has more of a 3-dimensional characteristic, while tank 2 is a little plainer looking, but more realistic.

Screenshots from the Homework

This is while I was reading from the textbook to do the midterms.

This is a screenshot from GIMP while I was doing Midterm 5.

Class 4, Assignment 4

This is  the piktochart I created as a small representation of myself.  It shows what I like to do and what I spend my time doing.  You can make a piktochart for yourself too at https://magic.piktochart.com/.

Midterm 6

The top picture is a penguin edited to have a layer of text over it.  With the GIMP software program, I created layers so that the text could be placed over the penguin.  The second picture is an animation of my name saved as a gif.  This was also made with GIMP using the layering effect.  This picture took a lot of time to prepare as it needed to be rotated multiple times in different layers.  This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College.  The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.  For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.

Midterm 5

These are pictures of a cooked lobster.  With the GIMP software program, I wrote my name on the picture and saved it as a .png file and as a .jpeg file.  The top picture is a .png file and the bottom picture is a .jpeg file. I was able to do this by going to 'File' in Gimp, and then 'Export to'.  After going to 'Export to' I was able to save the image to its respective file types.  This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College.  The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.  For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.
